Artistic Director

Moorey-Margaret Myers is a 1997 Magna Cum Laude McNair Scholar graduate of Siena Heights College Adrian, Honors College.  She holds a Bachelor degree in Philosophy with a concentration in Ethics, a minor in Biology, and her Honors courses included ballet.   Ms. Myers has studied under Dmitri Roudnev of Ballet Intensive from Moscow on a McNair scholarship.  Ms. Myer’s training also includes:  The University of Toledo, Adrian City Ballet Company under the direction of Jefferson Baum, The Link School of the Arts, Fueled & Aflame Dance Company and Ballet Magnificat’s Summer Intensive Training programs.  Ms. Myer’s teaching experience has included:  Monroe Public Schools Community and Adult Education, Monroe City Ballet & Dance (Owner and Artistic Director), Dancer's Workshop, Fueled & Aflame Master Classes and Exodus Dance Company.

Monroe Company Alumni

Lynn Rademacher is a student at MCBD and Barbara Hatch School of Dance.  Lynn studied at The Turning Pointe dance studio for 11 years where she performed as a soloist.  Lynn has performed in The Nutcracker and will fufil roles in the ballet again this coming season.  Lynn has very clean technique and a great desire to learn which makes her a great role model.

Jaime Myers is a student at Monroe City Ballet & Dance.  She has most recently performed as a soloist in The Prodigal.  Jaime has performed many solos in productions with MCBD including Clara in the Nutcracker and The Spring Fairy in Cinderella.

Krista Prevost is a tap instructor at MCBD.  Krista's recent performances include The Prodigal and as a soloist in Concrete Angel.  Krista has performed with performed with various companies in the downriver area.

Holly Self has a theatre background and enjoys not only acting and dancing but singing as well.  Holly is also a member of the Fueled and Aflame Dance Company.  Holly is an assistant and substitute teacher at MCBD. Holly resides in Monroe with her husband and daughter Lily and is active performing at her church.  Holly’s recent performances include The Prodigal and as a soloist in Concrete Angel.

Nicolle Bennett is a student at MCBD and a member of Fueled and Aflame Dance Company.  This past spring Nicolle traveled to NYC to participate and perform in Project Dance New York 2005. 

 Katie Hehl is a student, assistant and substitute teacher at MCBD.  Katie has performed in multiple productions such as The Nutcracker and Peter & The Wolf.  Katie enjoys teaching younger students and helping with productions.  Katie is not only gifted in dance but academics as well as she most recently received a scholarship to attend Saint Mary’s Catholic Central.

Shelby Sensing is a student at MCBD.  Shelby's dedication and strong Pointe work is apparent in rehearsals and performances.  Shelby also enjoys studying jazz and is a good role model to her younger dancing siblings Elizabeth and Megan.  Shelby has most recently performed in The Prodigal and Concrete Angel.

 Alyssa Farnstrom is a student at MCBD and Jefferson High School.  Alyssa is quick to help, never complains, and always has an infectious smile on her face.  Deemed "bling-bling" she is an asset to the company with her great attitude.  Alyssa performed as a ribbon dancer in EDC's Earth Day Performance.
